Its been a couple of years now since Squarespace introduced the new 7.1 templates and they just keep getting better. I have two website I own on the old 7.0 template and compared with the new 7.1 templates the old version is so restricting.

Squarespace have introduced lots of new design tools and ways to adapt the new 7.1 template which are not in the 7.0 version. I also think for non techy users that want to just do regular business updates on their website the 7.1 version makes that a lot easier and the results are amazing!

Simple Colour Changes

On 7.0 it is harder to change the colour of the font or background, you have to use work arounds or code to get this changed. With 7.1 you can easily change the colour or the title, or a word mid sentence. Backgrounds can be whatever colour you want and one page can have many different sections all with a different colour.

Duplicate Sections

It is possible to build a great section that has taken lots of time and then duplicate it and move it down to another part of the page, you then have the template and can overwrite it with different content and it will match the look of the other section.
